Porn-Star-Gazing: A panel about porn performers & their fans

Sunday, March 3, 7pm
At the Center for Sex & Culture, 1349 Mission St., San Francisco

No charge—donations gratefully accepted

In conjunction with CSC’s March gallery show Letters to a Porn Star: Nina Hartley Fan Mail, we’ve invited some of our favorite porn performers past and present to join us for a panel discussion especially focused on interactions with fans and the public. There ARE no popular performers, much less stars, without fans — but what’s that relationship like? How do fans communicate with porn stars today, and has the increased mainstream profile of porn changed the way fans relate to their faves in the industry? Are there differences between queer, gay male, straight porn? We’ll explore these and other questions! Moderator Carol Queen, PhD welcomes Lorelei Lee, Mickey Mod, Conner Habib, Richard Pacheco, CJ Laing, and others TBA for an in-depth discussion about one of the most central but little-discussed elements of the porn world! Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime gathering!
