Hard Day at the Office: Sex Workers on the Job

Saturday, February 23, 2013 - Door-7:30p Show-8p

Center for Sex and Culture: 1349 Mission St. San Francisco 94103

$10 to $20 sliding scale, no one turned away for lack of funds

A benefit for the Center for Sex and Culture and the Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP)

A night of writing and performance inspired by the work in sexwork of all stripes, by the workers who do it. No fishnets, no oh baby. Just the strenuous, the sweaty, the sweet, the unglamourous, the determined and the damned, the hilarious, the embarrassing, the legal, the conflicted, the arrested, the triumphant, the boring, and the lost. Just a look at what money means, and what our bodies do that matters.

With: Apaulo Hart, Carol Queen, Chad Litz, Cho Whoreingsly Prancypants, Daphne Gottlieb, Jacques LeFemme, Janetta Johnson, Miss Lola Sunshine, Shelley “Muffie” Mays.

MC: This American Whore’s Siouxsie Q.

Curated by Lisa Kester.

The Center for Sex & Culture is proud to be a recipient of a San Francisco Arts Commission Creative Space Grant, supporting CSC's physical space in three ways: developing our library (particularly shelving); improving our lighting grid, both for library and for our stage area; and supporting disability access to the building and its restroom facilities.
