Please bring 1-2 mins of prepared material can be comedy, hosting bit, song ect.
Improve your skillz on the mic with Wiggy Darlington!  Whether you sing, speak or just want to know how the hell to hold the thing….come learn how to rock the mic.  Want to know how to sound your best?  How to get the tools you need in any venue to feel your best?  Need to get some tips on how to work with different microphones, whether it’s how to not trip on a cord all the way to mic techniques for sounding your best in any situation.  If you’ve ever lost your voice while shouting over a bad sound system or heard feedback from audience members that the sound wasn’t optimum….learn what to do in a variety of situations in the crazy world of Variety!
Singers, MCs, Singer/Dancers, all are welcome!  We will go over basics of how to work with microphones that are wired (have a cord attached), wireless and some considerations of headset mics as well.  We will go over techniques for building confidence while working with a microphone as well as some very practical advice about stage comportment while working the mic.  Wiggy will share some advice working with sound technicians in the wonderful world of burlesque.  Those of us who are just starting will benefit as much as those who have worked the circuit and need tips on best practices.
