But the rest of us... we know l'amour is trying to speak up a little more creatively than that. Join relationship coach Marcia Baczynski for a hilarious hour and a half discussion, wherein we explore such vexing questions as "What the hell do women mean when they say ‘Be more romantic’?" “How do you be romantic with a man?” and "Oh god, what am I going to do for Valentine's Day?!" You’ll find out what the top romantic activities are (hint: It’s not what you think!). Discover how you can get the object of your affection to be more romantic with you, and learn how to add a little romantic playfulness to your life regularly… without the cheese or cliché. Whether you need some last minute ideas for Valentine's Day, or want to bring more passion, tenderness or mystique into your every day life, this entertaining workshop will leave you laughing and inspired. Sex Worker’s Writing Workshop w/ Gina De Vries Should Asexuality Be in the DSM? A workshop and discussion Join David Jay, founder of the Asexual Visibility and Education Network (AVEN), for a discussion on the asexual community's efforts to change how the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual treats individuals with low sexual desire. AVEN is currently advising the Sexual and Gender Disorders Working Group on creating asexual-friendly diagnostic criteria for low sexual desire, and would like your input. The workshop will provide a quick history of the asexual community, of the research which has taken place on asexuality and of the way that asexuality is currently treated in DSM. Participants will then break into a structured discussion envisioning sex and asex-positive means of treating low sexual desire. Notes from this discussion will be incorporated into AVEN's recommendation to the SGD Working Group. The discussion will include therapists, sex-educators, students in human sexuality and members of the local asexual community. David Jay has been a key figure in the asexual community since its foundation in 2001. He leads the AVEN DSM Taskforce, regularly speaks at conferences and university campuses, and has been featured in such programs as 20/20, The View and The Montel Williams Show.
