DON’T FORGET TO BRING EXTRA DOLLARS, TIPPING IS DEFINITELY ALLOWED! About liquidFIRE Productions liquidFIRE Productions was a San Francisco, CA-based non-profit organization whose mission was to inspire, create, develop, and produce original artistic expressions of lesbian and queer women of color through multidisciplinary theatre, cabaret and workshops. liquidFIRE Productions evolved from a show entitled "Liquid Fire" which was inspired by “Deeper Love”, a women of color erotic show created by Imani Uzuri in 1996. Vixen, along with a kickass ensemble of lesbian and queer women of color artists, originated “Liquid Fire” in 1997 to develop original work directed at lesbian audiences. The show was a huge success, and encouraged Vixen to expand the outreach, depth and professionalism of the project by creating the theatre company, The liquidFIRE Project. The company annually produced an original theatrical production which included an extensive workshop and rehearsal process. |
