NEW! CSC-supported group forming for women interested in art, culture and theory.

Calling all women artists and theorists alike. Models for Change invites you to participate in culture-making through the productive avenues of Art, Erotica, and Theory.

By taking a critical and creative eye, we aspire to enter the discourses of art and theory in order to engage with expressing our own individual experience of existing with the vivid tangibilities of bodies and sexualities.

Through translating our subjective perceptions into the symbolic material of art and erotica, we work with reorganizing constructions of meaning to empower women and women’s sexuality.

By treating sex as a place where myth and reality meet, we create artwork that responds not only to immediate experience but also to the past manifestations and theoretical dialogues of woman, art, and sexuality without being constricted within the oppressive and puritanical patterns of academic discourse itself.

Each session includes one hour of lecture & discussion along with two hours of working from a live model.
