Doing Time on Folsom St, 1981-2010
A 30 year retrospective of fine art radical sex photographs

San Francisco photographer Mark I Chester announces a 30 year retrospective of his fine art photographs to run in conjunction with the annual Leather Week and the Folsom St. Fair, opening Fri Sept. 24th, from 7-11pm at his studio at 1229 Folsom St.  Mark has been documenting his life in San Francisco’s gay and radical sex underground since the late 1970s; for the first 20+ years in black and white silver prints and for the last 10 years in color digital.

The show will be open Sat from 1pm-6pm and Sun, 11am-6pm, during the Folsom St. Fair, which runs right outside his studio.  The show will also be open thru 2010 by appointment by calling 415-621-6294. 

And in what has become an annual tradition for the last ten years, Mark will also be taking free digital pix of anyone who comes to his studio Folsom weekend.
