Amy Marsh earned her doctorate in Human Sexuality at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. Her human sexuality training consisted of over 900 hours of study and research.

As a sexologist, Dr. Marsh pursues every opportunity to learn and share:

❀ She recently joined the faculty as IASHS as an associate professor.

❀ She writes a weekly column, "Love's Outer Limits," on the Carnal Nation website.

❀ Her research on Objectum Sexuals was recently published in the Electronic Journal of Human Sexuality: Love Among the Objectum Sexuals - Published Research

Initiatives:

Dr. Marsh has conducted survey research on Aspergerʻs Syndrome sexuality and relationships.

She founded the Asperger's Intimacy Counseling and Education Project (AICEP) to provide lower cost services to people with Asperger's Syndrome and their partners.

Media:

She is the first sexologist to study people who identify as "Objectum Sexuals." As a result, she has appeared on Good Morning America and The Tyra Show and on radio, including the Innovations at Work Show (CNN 1190 AM, Dallas-Ft. Worth).

She was interviewed in "Watch With Me" about couples using pornography, seen on Current TV.

She was interviewed on Native Hawaiian sexual traditions on the Sex, Tantra and Kama Sutra podcast.

Dr. Marsh completed hypnotherapy certification in December, 2008, through Marilyn Gordon's Center for Hypnotherapy Certification in Oakland. She has additional certification in Medical Hypnotherapy and Pain Control Hypnotherapy.

Dr. Marsh is a trained PREP® educator who gives workshops and private classes in pre-marital, marital and couples education. She is a Level Two practitioner of Ipsalu Tantra and continues to study sacred sexual traditions of various cultures. She is a proud mother of two sons, one of whom writes the "Transgression" column, also on Carnal Nation.
